April 18, 2025 — DreamFly and AVIAGE SYSTEMS have officially signed the DF3000 eVTOL Project Iron Bird and Engineering Prototype Flight Test Product Procurement Contract. This agreement marks a substantial advancement in their collaboration since signing a strategic MoU at the 2024 Zhuhai Airshow, propelling their partnership to new heights and catalyzing the development of a robust low-altitude economy ecosystem.
DreamFly DF3000
At the 2024 Zhuhai Airshow, the two companies inked a strategic MoU under which AVIAGE SYSTEMS committed to supplying flight control systems and avionics suite solutions for DreamFly’s hybrid tiltrotor DF3000 "Youlong" low-altitude aircraft. The collaboration also includes support for airworthiness certification and commercial operations of the model.
The newly signed procurement contract further clarifies technical delivery details. AVIAGE SYSTEMS will provide DreamFly with flight control and avionics components, including flight control computers, avionics computers, cockpit display systems, integrated navigation systems, air data modules, radar altimeters, ground station software/hardware, and system integration services. Additionally, AVIAGE SYSTEMS will assist DreamFly in establishing the DF3000’s Iron Bird, conducting engineering prototype flight tests, and completing subsequent airworthiness validation to accelerate the project’s path to commercialization.
The DF3000 hybrid tiltrotor, DreamFly’s flagship product for the low-altitude mobility market, aims to deliver a sustainable vision of safe, economical, eco-friendly, and intelligent urban air transport. Its advanced design imposes stringent requirements on flight control and avionics technologies. Leveraging its industry-leading "AvioNova" avionics and flight control solutions tailored for emerging low-altitude aircraft, AVIAGE SYSTEMS will provide critical support for this hybrid tiltrotor project—a first in the sector—enriching the diversity of the low-altitude economy ecosystem.
