The C919 is a large civil jet developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC), featuring a seating capacity of 158 to 168 passengers and a range of 4,075 to 5,555 kilometers—designed to meet diverse route demands. Initiated in 2008, the program achieved its rollout on November 2, 2015, followed by a successful first flight on May 5, 2017. The aircraft officially entered commercial service in May 2023.
