Brief Description:
- The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This includes document control, process development, internal and external audits, and achieving certifications such as AS9100 and CAAC EVTOL OEM to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory authorities (CAAC), ISO9001/AS9100 requirements, and customer/program-specific needs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the Quality Management System, including document control, KPI monitoring, management reviews, and tool management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
- Establish and maintain quality systems that meet AS9100 requirements and secure relevant certifications.
- Ensure compliance with CCAR21/CCAR23/CCAR91 requirements and maintain associated certifications.
- Lead internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, AS9100, CAAC, EVTOL OEM) and ensure successful outcomes, including managing corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Support manufacturing, product quality, and supplier quality teams to improve processes and overall quality performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Be responsible for providing guidance, setting clear goals, and developing talent to ensure operational excellence.
- Foster collaboration across departments and promote a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
- Perform other tasks as reasonably assigned by the organization
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Minimum 8 years of quality experience in the aviation industry.
- Proven experience in establishing Quality Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of aviation industry standards, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- AS9100 Internal Auditor certification with strong audit skills and experience.
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with CAAC Part 21/23/91 and related quality systems.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Quality/Safety.
- Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven and self-directed.
