Brief Description:

  • Responsible for managing suppliers in the aftermarket segment of avionics equipment, with a focus on 145 Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs) (authorized to repair avionics) and avionics material suppliers (domestic and international, including CN/US/UK-based). By leading supplier sourcing, qualification, performance monitoring, and issue resolution, this role ensures efficient aftermarket repair workflows, timely avionics material supply, and compliance with global aviation standards—ultimately supporting the Customer Service Department’s repair delivery quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and qualify 145 MRO suppliers (domestic and overseas, e.g., CN/US/UK): Conduct qualification check, repair capability assessments, and compliance checks (aligning with CAAC/FAA/EASA 145 regulations) to establish and maintain an approved MRO list.Manage avionics material suppliers of MRO (including international vendors in the CN/US/UK): Negotiate material specifications, supply capacity, pricing, and lead times; ensure on-time delivery of repair-grade avionics materials that meet aviation quality standards (e.g., AS9100).Monitor day-to-day performance of both supplier types:Track 145 MROs’ repair turnaround time (TAT), rework rate, and regulatory compliance (e.g., adherence to 145 maintenance procedures, FAA/EASA audit requirements);Monitor avionics material suppliers’ delivery accuracy, quality conformance rate, and inventory availability (especially for critical parts).Coordinate cross-border issue resolution with international suppliers (US/UK): Address delays in repair, material shortages, quality disputes, or logistics bottlenecks (e.g., customs clearance for avionics parts); drive suppliers to develop corrective action plans (CAPs).Conduct remote/on-site audits and performance evaluations for global suppliers: Develop region-specific KPI frameworks (adapting to CAAC/FAA/EASA rules for CN/US/UK MROs) and generate quarterly/annual performance reports; recommend supplier optimization (e.g., phasing out low-performing vendors, expanding collaboration with high-performing international partners).Maintain a centralized supplier database (domestic + international): Update qualification documents, performance records, cross-border contracts, and compliance certificates (e.g., CAAC Part 145, FAA Part 145, EASA Part 145) to ensure data accuracy and traceability.Collaborate with the Customer Service team: Gather internal feedback on repair progress and material needs; adjust supplier management strategies (e.g., expediting CN/US/UK material shipments) to improve aftermarket repair efficiency and customer responsiveness.Involves coordinating with stakeholder departments to ensure seamless operations, timely inventory management, and cost-effective logistics solutions. Implements strategies to enhance productivity, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. By leveraging data analytics and supply chain technologies, drive continuous improvement and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to meet organizational objectives.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Aviation Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or a related field.More than 3 years of supplier management experience, with a focus on the aviation/avionics industry; prior experience managing 145 MROs and avionics material suppliers (including international vendors in the US/UK) is highly preferred.Familiarity with global aviation regulations: Understanding of CAAC Part 145, FAA Part 145 (US), EASA Part 145 (EU/UK), and avionics material standards (e.g., AMS, AS9100, ATA Spec 2000) is required.Strong cross-border communication and negotiation skills: Able to coordinate with CN/US/UK suppliers across time zones; resolve cultural or regulatory conflicts in supplier collaboration.Proficiency in English (written and verbal): Capable of drafting international supplier contracts, conducting remote audits in English, and communicating technical requirements with overseas teams.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities: Experience in troubleshooting supply chain issues (e.g., international logistics delays, MRO compliance gaps) and driving CAPs.Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle); basic data analysis skills to track supplier KPIs and generate performance reports.Knowledge of international trade procedures (e.g., customs clearance for avionics parts, export controls like ITAR) is a plus.Excellent communication and presentation skillsFluent in Chinese and EnglishWillingness to travel 30-50%
