Brief Description:

• Location: Chengdu/Shanghai
• In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team to perform the integration and verification against computing products and avionics system. Deliver final functionality of the product or solution against customer requirements on development phase and maintain lab equipment used by AS team in good conditions, to meet market needs and customer requirements by providing both proper resource allocation against tasks and solid individual contribution in term of technical solutions.
• As a team lead, you will be expected to work closely with other technical managers and stuff engineers in AAM BU to support product level activities through communication across teams, at the meantime to build the center of excellence to grow team capabilities, improve process and product quality during the execution of programs.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a leader, a coach and a mentor to provide consultancy, guidance and direction for the development and execution of the assignments, using sound engineering principles and judgement and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Define & execute team capability grow plan, provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, engage and inspire team members to the maximal potential and to support individual career / personal development and growth
• Ensure appropriate assignment of tasks and areas of technical responsibility in order to meet the assigned project schedule and develop team members
• Develop technical capabilities of self and others in line with business needs, build product whole life cycle development environment related to product engineering and common design / practice across products to improve quality and efficiency
• Ensure the formulation and implementation of plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling and contract commitments
• Work closely cross teams to develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems with strong customer mindset, so as to ensure acceptance of developed solutions
• Involve in and support integration of products from suppliers
• Advance test equipment design for product integration and environment test, and perform daily management of such equipment
• Support effective customer communication and engagement to support quality product delivery and onsite integration
• Coordinate design reviews with pertinent organizations and drive adherence to internal processes & procedures
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• In accordance with company policies, perform people management duties for all direct staff and support for non-direct reporting staff, including employee performance management (with inputs from stuff engineers) & employee approvals

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer related area
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience on embedded software development and integration for avionics or airborne products including but not limited to BSP, drivers, BIT, Infrastructure Software, etc.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on team management or technical lead position
• Proven experience on safety critical software development and certification following DO-178 standard
• Experience with at least one type of ARINC 653 RTOS
• Programming skills in C/C++
• Experience of software verification process and related tools
• Familiar with avionics and flight control systems and products, especially IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics), CDS (Cockpit Display System) and FCS (Flight Control System)
• Excellent communication & analytical/ problem-solving skills, willingness and ability to guide and influence others
• Fluency in written and oral English

Qualifications Desired:

• Work experience on the following aircraft systems: IMA, CDS, FCS, NAV
• Knowledge or experience of engineering standard: ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-254, DO-297, AC20-193
• Experience of avionics bus protocols such as A664, A825, A429
• Multicore system or software development experience
• Graphic driver development or integration experience
• Experience on qualification testing
• Program execution experience on medium to large system development
