[ IRC5216 ] Technical Manager - Product Integration & Verification

Brief Description:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for leading the team to perform the integration and verification on AAM products, with a focus more on providing the final functionality of the product or solution against customer requirements, by providing both proper resource allocation against tasks and solid individual contribution in term of technical solutions.
  • As a team lead, you will be expected to work closely with other technical managers and staff engineers in AAM BU to support product level activities through communication across teams, at the meantime to build the center of excellence to grow team capabilities, improve process and product quality during the execution of programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader, a coach and a mentor to provide consultancy, guidance and direction for the development and execution of the assignments, using sound engineering principles and judgement and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Define & execute team capability grow plan, provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, engage and inspire team members to its max. potential and to support individual career / personal development and growth
  • Ensure appropriate assignment of tasks and areas of technical responsibility in order to meet the assigned project schedule and develop team members
  • Develop technical capabilities of self and others in line with business needs, build product whole life cycle development environment related to product engineering and common design / practice across products to improve quality and efficiency
  • Ensure the formulation and implementation of plans to achieve customer requirements, scheduling and contract commitments
  • Work closely cross product teams to develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems with strong customer mindset, so as to ensure acceptance of developed solutions
  • Support effective customer communication and engagement to support quality product delivery and new opportunity pursuit
  • Coordinate design reviews with pertinent organizations and drive adherence to internal processes & procedures
  • Assure the execution of assigned projects and/or tasks in line with the corresponding company processes and procedures
  • Perform people management duties for all direct staff and support for non-direct reporting staff, including employee performance management (with inputs from staff engineers) & employee approvals

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer related area
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience on integration for avionics or airborne products including but not limited to BSP, drivers, BIT, Infrastructure Software, etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience on team management or technical lead position
  • Proven experience on the system integration and verification processes and related tools
  • Experience of system integration in aircraft type certification practices following ARP-4754 standard
  • Familiar with flight control systems and products, especially FCC (Flight Control Computer)
  • Excellent communication & analytical/ problem-solving skills, willingness and ability to guide and influence others
  • Fluency in written and oral English

Qualifications Desired:

  • Work experience on the following aircraft systems: FCS, IMA, CDS, NAV
  • Knowledge or experience of engineering standards: ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-254, DO-178, DO-297
  • Experience of avionics bus protocols such as A825, A429, RS-485/422
  • FCL development or integration experience
  • Experience on qualification testing
  • Program execution experience on medium to large system development
