Brief Description:

• The senior engineer is responsible for technical direction and lead the development of the core software within the computing and network products under specific software process and standard. This role works consistently in practical and innovative ways towards defined goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is defined or less defined in scope, but also be expected to independently define and execute work assignments as well as making sound technical decisions, guiding others in execution. You will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Independently or lead group responsibility for the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and judgement and adhering to business/industrial standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsDevelop and maintain systematic planning per industry standard, process, budget and scheduleCoach and influence others to produce approaches to achieve goalsLead execution of plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling, budgeting, and contractual commitments Develop and lead action plans to anticipate and respond to complex problems which need cross team coordinationWork in collaboration with necessary parties and global engineering teams to achieve the team/project/business goalIdentify opportunities, develop and lead action plans to anticipate and respond to problems, and for continuous improvements and proactively manage risks, changes and uncertainty Improve technical capability of team and individual thru mentoring, coaching and lecturingComputing and network products requirements analysisComputing and network product software requirements, architecture, design, codingDevelop drivers and board support package base on specific hardware platformIntegrate and debug application, platform software, drivers and BSP with targeted hardware and platformBuild and release softwareLead and execution of the assigned tasks meeting requirements within assigned budget and scheduleMaintain awareness of efforts within group and interfaces to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, and responsiveness to customer / program needsProvide the technical mentoring, constructive insight through technical communication/workshop.Lean and improve the process, best practice to meet project needsCommunicate with leads on technical, cost, schedule, and personnel issuesCommunicate progress to leads and customers

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Electronics, Communication or Computer Science fieldMinimum 8 years’ experience in Assemble, C/C++ or Ada embedded softwareExperience in Real Time Operation System (RTOS) design and customization Experience in real time embedded software driver or BSP developmentStrong English (required) and Chinese (desired) oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to organize information and make timely and sound decisionsAbility to consistently produce high quality work in a production environment

Qualifications Desired:

• Experience with ARINC653 partitioned operating environmentsExperience with DO-178B software certificationExperience with documentation practices and requirementsKnowledge of computing products, network products, I/O products and operating systemsKnowledge of DO-178B, DO-178C, DO-297, ARP4754 certification standardsExperience with ARINC 653, ARINC 664, ARINC 429, ARINC825, ARINC 615A and other industry standardsExperience with avionics software architecture development and integration processExperience with avionics software requirement and interface definition and managementStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in a technical specialty
