Brief Description:

• The software engineer works consistently in practical and innovative ways towards defined goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is defined or less defined in scope, but also be expected to independently define and execute work assignments as well as guide others in execution. You will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and achieve objectives for self and have the ability to contribute to the team goal and effect business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the software requirement and implement the software design, coding, integration and verification of Model Based Development Tools independently for IMA platform per the software development assurance process.Perform the development, integration and verification of Configuration Data software independently for IMA platform.Develop test design, test cases and test procedure for Model Based Development Tools and Configuration Data software, perform the tests and generate the test reports.Develop and maintain systematic planning per industry standard, process, budget and schedule.Participate in or lead the airworthiness certification activities to achieve the certification objectives, such as providing the certification deliverables and participating as a presenter during the certification authority and internal audit activity. Involvement will be through the entire lifecycle development.Develop the Configuration Data system level requirements independently per ATA systems’ resource requests with object-oriented UML.Participate in the system requirement validation, integration and verification for Configuration Data.Lead or independently perform team’s responsible activities for the execution of design, development, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements while identifying and resolving the technical and execution risks timely.Work in collaboration with necessary parties and cross teams to achieve the goals.Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.Develop technical understanding, knowledge, skills and competency within assigned technical areas. Meanwhile, provide guidance to colleagues and proactively share the technical knowledge.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.The position will be responsible for supporting the development of avionics systems for commercial aircraft.Complete the abovementioned and other tasks assigned by Line Manager on time with good quality and demonstrate accountability in daily work.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college 5 years of software product development and verification experienceStrong coding skills in software development language C, C++, C#, Python and SQLProficient in the relational database and system modeling with UML/SysMLExperience with software architecture developmentExperience of capturing and / or validating product functional requirement against customer inputs and / or industry standardProven ability to proactively define solutions to resolve technical problems, develop plans to implement and show the aptitude to guide others through implementation Strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and EnglishHave analytical inductive mind.

Qualifications Desired:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or collegeExperience in the development and requirement management for the software of avionics and / or aircraft systemsExperience/knowledge with civil aviation development standards such as SAE ARP 4754A, SAE ARP 4761, DO-297, DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160Experience/knowledge with aviation protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 825 and ARINC 664Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, Dimensions, Windchill and GitProject scheduling experience and budget estimation experienceStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.
