Brief Description:

• The Chief Airworthiness & Quality Officer is responsible for leading quality and critical engineering resource across the company, including Airworthiness & Certification, S&RMT, Quality, and Engineering Services, to ensure AAM products meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements while enabling efficient engineering execution across multiple product lines. The position provides strategic technical leadership, oversees compliance with global aviation standards, and partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to support successful product development, certification, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead Airworthiness & Certification, S&RMT, Quality, and Engineering Services teams, grow organizational capability to align with business objectives.
• Oversight and responsible for company overall quality management systems to meet regulatory requirements and industrial standards.· Ensure effective execution of internal processes and compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and internal procedures across all programs and products.
• Serve as the technical authority for airworthiness, certification, safety, and DQA, providing guidance to internal teams and representing the company with customers, partners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee certification planning and execution, ensuring timely achievement of regulatory milestones and maintaining strong relationships with certification agencies and industry partners.
• Lead S&RMT activities, ensuring robust safety assessments, reliability analysis, and verification strategies are integrated into product development and program execution.
• Lead and develop quality team to deploy product assurance policy and quality plan to ensure product assurance requirements, aircraft safety and customer satisfaction in terms of quality excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to support design, analysis, verification, and evaluation activities, ensuring alignment with program requirements and engineering principles.
• Support business development activities, including bid and proposal efforts, by providing technical input related to certification, safety, and engineering quality.
• Communicate significant issues, risks, and developments to leadership and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
• Participate in technical and program reviews as a presenter, reviewer, or approver, ensuring technical integrity and compliance across all engineering activities.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance engineering knowledge in certification, safety, quality, and engineering processes.
• Other tasks assigned by line manager.

Qualifications Required:

• 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or avionics, experience of leading technical teams preferred.
• Deep Knowledge of global certification frameworks (TC, STC, FAA, FAR, EASA CS) and industry standards (ARP4761(A), ARP4754A/B, DO‑178C, DO‑254, DO‑297, etc.).
• Ability to guide and influence others, effective team building and problem-solving skills
• Strong capability in solving complex problems and making high‑impact decisions.
• Ability to define and convey a vision of technical understanding aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications Desired:

• Strong technical background in complex avionics systems design, analysis, and certification.
• Experience with software and hardware development and verification processes.
• Familiarity with aircraft subsystems and associated regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with global regulatory authorities and certification partners.
• Experience with diversified operational and quality experience in aviation industry.
• Knowledge in aviation industrial standards, rules and regulations including CAAC, EASA and FAA especially Part 21
• Strong communication skills in English (and Chinese if applicable).
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Deep understanding of end‑to‑end engineering development processes and associated tools.
