Brief Description:

• The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of complex equipment systems, encompassing Civil Avionics Manufacturing Test Equipment (MTE) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This role is centered on technical leadership, system architecture definition, and the expert management of internal and external resources. You will be the key integrator, turning complex requirements into tangible, high-fidelity solutions by partnering with world-class suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Requirements Synthesis & Compliance:
• Act as the primary technical authority for equipment projects, ensuring all designs meet stringent safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (R&D, Customer Service, Manufacturing) to synthesize and translate complex product requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for suppliers.
• Test System Integration & Validation:
• Lead the integration of hardware and software subsystems from multiple suppliers into a cohesive, fully functional unit.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test and acceptance plans to validate system performance against specifications.
• Supplier & Partner Management:
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage a network of best-in-class suppliers for subsystems.
• Lead the technical relationship with partners, from initial RFP through to final delivery and acceptance.
• End-to-End Project Management:
• Manage the entire project lifecycle for equipment development, from concept and supplier selection to integration, validation, and deployment.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and risk registers, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Balances technical excellence with cost, schedule, and strategic business objectives.
• Other duties as assigned by line manager.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the development, integration, or technical management of complex systems within the aerospace industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing technical suppliers, developing large-scale, integrated systems and deliver to the customers.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the product development lifecycle.
• Exceptional project management, negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications Desired:

• Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA).
• Direct experience with the procurement, integration, or acceptance testing of flight simulation training devices (FTDs, FFS).
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for both avionics (DO-160, DO-254) and simulation (e.g., FAA Part 60, EASA CS-FSTD).
• Experience with managing software development partners, particularly for real-time simulation environments.
