AVIAGE SYSTEMS' Beidou-III onboard civil aircraft positioning and tracking system is the fruition of the collaboration agreement initiated by China Eastern Airlines during the 13th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in 2021. This product autonomously developed and manufactured by AVIAGE SYSTEMS, harnesses the Beidou-III satellite system to furnish precise positioning data. Its unique short message communication link ensures seamless automatic data exchange between aircraft and ground stations at regular intervals. This empowers comprehensive real-time aircraft positioning and tracking during flights, encompassing a myriad of parameters such as flight number, registration code, takeoff and landing airport codes, latitude and longitude, altitude, speed, remaining fuel, aircraft attitude, BDS satellite signal strength, and engine exhaust temperature. Beidou-III's precision-driven and resource-efficient positioning capabilities, coupled with its distinctive short message communication functionality, impeccably adhere to the 4D/1 flight path tracking requisites (capturing longitude, latitude, altitude, and time at 1-minute intervals). This, in turn, elevates aircraft health monitoring, remote engine diagnostics, and even optimizes flight routes to reduce fuel consumption, thus propelling sustainable aviation.

In swift response to customer requests, AVIAGE SYSTEMS expediently assembled a dedicated team, culminating in the development of two prototypes within six months. These prototypes underwent rigorous cycles of meticulous testing and evaluation. With steadfast endorsement from China Eastern Airlines' technical team, AVIAGE SYSTEMS BDS product team concluded airborne trials of the first Beidou-III aircraft system in August 2022, and successfully deliver to China Eastern Airlines on May 31st this year.

Backed by robust support from the East China Bureau of CAAC and propelled by China Eastern Airlines' resolute efforts, the early hours of June 28, 2023, an Eastern Airlines Boeing 737, equipped with AVIAGE SYSTEMS' Beidou-III civil aircraft tracking system, seamless landing at Yunnan's Kunming Changshui International Airport. This momentous occasion marked China first Beidou-III civil aircraft positioning and tracking system passing the flight test after nearly two years of meticulous groundwork.

"Beidou is one of national strategy, while it is also the key development strategy of the AVIAGE SYSTEMS." Justin Min, vice president of AVIAGE SYSTEMS, said, " I would like to express our sincerely gratitude to East China Bureau of CAAC and Eastern Airlines for their strong support on our Beidou-III product awarding CTSOA. Enthused by the resolute determination to innovating and getting over challenges, we are committed to collaboratively propel the application of BDS products within civil aviation alongside Airlines in China. Our dedication extends to develop pioneering technology and digital solutions to improve flight safety and operational efficiency, and drive to sustainable aviation."
